Honda engines use mechanical valve lash and require periodic inspection and adjustment.

Typical intervals:

• K-Series 4-Cylinder: ~110,000 miles
  
  

• J-Series V6: ~105,000 miles or 7 years
  
  

(Intervals vary slightly by model and driving conditions.)

Why Valve Adjustment Matters

These engines do not use hydraulic lifters — clearance must be measured and adjusted manually.
